Bedrock Computing Institute
Building technology fluency for everyone through hands-on education and real-world experience
What We Do
We help young people build real technology capability - understanding how systems work, solving actual problems, and gaining the fluency to leverage technology effectively in whatever they choose to do.
Students learn by doing: fixing computers, building websites, and developing software tools for Main Street businesses, nonprofits, and community organizations. Whether you're headed for a tech career or just want to be more capable in an increasingly digital world, understanding how technology actually works makes you more effective at everything.

Learn MoreWhy It Matters
Main Street needs technology capacity that stays local.
When communities outsource their tech work to distant contractors or rely on generic solutions, they lose the opportunity to build lasting relationships, develop local expertise, and keep resources circulating locally.
We're changing that by training the next generation of technologists right where they're needed most - in the communities where they live, learning from mentors who understand both technology and local context.
