Get In Touch
Whether you're a student ready to start learning, an organization interested in partnering, or just curious about what we do - we'd love to hear from you.
For Students & Parents
Ready to start your learning journey? Have questions about which program is right for you? Want to know more about scholarships?
For Potential Volunteers / Employees
We're building a community-driven learning environment, and that requires a pool of skilled, passionate people who want to invest in young learners. Whether you're looking to volunteer or eventually join our team, here's how we think about growing our community of educators.
Start as a Volunteer
We welcome volunteers who want to contribute to our mission and build their skills. Volunteering is a great way to get involved, understand our culture, and build your skills as you help our students learn.
- Assist with workshops, helping students work through challenges
- Participate in Community of Practice forums, answering questions and providing guidance
- Float around during open lab sessions, offering support where needed
Grow Into Paid Roles
We primarily look to our volunteer pool when we have paid positions open. The people who understand our culture, have built relationships with students, and have demonstrated their teaching ability are the natural candidates for roles like:
- Workshop instructors
- Community of Practice project leads

For Businesses & Organizations
Bedrock Computing Institute works because of strong relationships with organizations across our communities. There are several ways to partner with us to invest in young people and build your community's technical capacity.
Sponsor Students in Your Community
We believe every young person with aptitude and drive should have access to quality technology education, regardless of their family's income. Families pay for memberships & workshop fees, but we actively work to ensure cost isn't a barrier for any student who wants to participate.
Help us provide scholarships for students who need them, either by sponsoring specific individuals, making a general donation to our scholarship fund, or underwriting the costs of a workshop or program in your community. If you're interested in supporting our work in other ways, we'd love to talk about that, too!
Become a Host Site
We bring the curriculum, instructors, and hardware. Host sites provide the infrastructure that makes it all possible.
What host sites provide
- Physical space for workshops and Community of Practice work sessions
- Internet connectivity and power
- Connection to young people in your community who would benefit from the program
What we bring
- Structured curriculum and experienced instructors
- All necessary hardware and server infrastructure
- Ongoing support and coordination
Host sites can be schools, libraries, community centers, churches, businesses, or any organization with space to host about 10 people and a commitment to investing in young people. Whether you want to host a single workshop or provide ongoing space for Community of Practice sessions, we're interested in talking.
Right now we're focused on building in the Greater Lafayette area, but we're open to conversations about other locations as well.
Engage Our Students
Our students are learning real technology skills and looking for opportunities to apply them. Through our apprenticeship and internship programs, you can engage trained young people who can help with your organization's technology needs.
Students work on real projects - building websites, maintaining systems, developing tools - gaining practical experience while contributing to your mission. It's a pipeline that benefits everyone: students get hands-on learning, and you get capable help with your technology challenges.
